UK Heather Honey (Great Taste Award Winner 2023)
This superb honey is a firm favourite with our customers, who value its excellent flavour and outstanding health properties. Stronger in flavour than our Wildflower, Blossom and Soft Set honeys, this Heather Honey has a luxurious taste that appeals to those who really appreciate its premium nature.
Having a stronger flavour, it works well with other foods. Personally, we like it on oatcakes with an excellent quality cheese (a blue cheese, mature cheddar or, of course, some crumbly Lancashire). It’s also great in a ‘hot toddy’ but remember to let the water cool a bit before adding the honey.
Customers report a wide variety of medicinal responses from dealing with acid reflux, indigestion, and IBS, through sore throats and coughs to helping control skin conditions such as psoriasis, eczema, cuts, and ulcers.
This is a natural product. Consequently, colour and consistency may vary from image and from jar to jar. It is normal for this natural honey to granulate over time. It is not going off. It just needs to be lightly warmed (e.g. sat on a cloth on a warm radiator) until it re-liquifies.
Unsuitable for infants under 12 months of age.
